Peak Summer
July – August
Hottest, busiest and most expensive. Great atmosphere but book everything 3–4 months ahead.

Late Summer
September
Still hot, crowds thinning, better value. Many groups call this the best month of all.

Villa vs Hotel β€” Which is Better for a Hen Do?

For most groups, a private villa wins. Here's why β€” and when a hotel might still make sense.

Factor 🏑 Private Villa 🏨 Hotel
Privacy βœ“ Fully private β€” your space, your rules βœ— Shared public areas, noise restrictions
Host activities βœ“ DJ, chef, butler, cocktail class at home βœ— Usually not permitted in-room
Pool βœ“ Private pool, no competition Shared pool, limited sun beds
Value for large groups βœ“ Cost per person drops with more guests Expensive β€” individual room costs add up fast
Flexibility βœ“ No checkout time pressure on party nights Strict quiet hours, security may intervene
Best for Groups of 8 – 30+ Small groups of 2 – 6 or short 1-night stays

πŸ’‘ Tip: We don't book villas ourselves, but most groups find excellent options on Airbnb and Booking.com. Look for villas with open living areas and outdoor kitchens β€” ideal for hosting La Fiesta.

Marbella Hen Do β€” Questions Answered

Everything the maid of honour (and her group) needs to know before booking.

Yes β€” Marbella and Puerto BanΓΊs are very safe for groups of women. The area is well-policed, has a strong tourist infrastructure, and is used to welcoming hen groups from across Europe. As with any destination, normal common sense applies: stick together, arrange pre-booked transfers rather than flagging down taxis, and let someone at home know your villa address. We have been operating in Puerto BanΓΊs for years and can advise on the safest routes, reputable transfer companies and which venues are most group-friendly.
Most groups stay 3 nights (Thursday to Sunday, or Friday to Monday). This gives you one villa party arrival night, one big activity day (typically the boat), one nightclub night, and a relaxed final morning before the flight. If you want to add a beach club day or a second big night out, 4 nights works perfectly. Two nights is possible but very rushed β€” you'll spend most of the first day travelling and most of the last day at the airport.
Marbella is a glamorous destination and venues reflect that. For beach clubs during the day: swimwear with a cover-up or kaftan is fine, smart sandals preferred (flip-flops are sometimes turned away at higher-end venues). For evening clubs and bars: smart-casual minimum, with smart-glam for places like Olivia Valère or La Suite. Trainers, sportswear and flip-flops are typically not permitted in nightclubs. Hen party accessories (sashes, tiaras) are welcome and often celebrated — venues are very used to hen groups and will often give you extra attention.
The easiest and most reliable way is to contact us directly at Marbella Hen Do. We're based in Puerto BanΓΊs and handle everything from start to finish: boat hire, villa entertainment, cocktail classes, flamenco, make-up parties, BBQs, cheeky butlers, champagne breakfasts and more. You book the villa separately (Airbnb and Booking.com are the most popular platforms), and we take care of all the activities and entertainment. WhatsApp is the quickest way to reach us: +34 615 963 636.
For peak season (June–September), we recommend booking at least 2–3 months in advance. Boat trips, villas and popular beach clubs fill up fast β€” especially for weekends. If your dates are flexible, booking 4–6 months ahead gives you the most choice and often better prices. For October through May, a month or two is usually sufficient. The earlier you contact us, the more options we can offer.
Puerto Banús is the main nightlife hub for hen groups. It's more glamorous, more international, and more intense — think superyachts, sports cars and world-famous clubs like Olivia Valère and Momento. Marbella Old Town (Casco Antiguo) has a more relaxed, local and Spanish feel — beautiful plazas, tapas bars and a more authentic atmosphere. Most groups base themselves in Puerto Banús and stay there for the nightlife, but a tapas evening in the Old Town makes a lovely contrast on a quieter night.
Yes β€” especially for Ocean Club, Nikki Beach and Nao Pool Club during June–September. The most popular Sunday sessions at these venues sell out weeks in advance. Balinese beds (daybeds) and VIP areas require reservations and often a minimum spend. Walking in on a busy Sunday without a booking will usually mean no seating and a very long wait. We can advise on the best options for your group size and help you navigate the reservation process.
We can bring the party to you. Our in-villa services include: La Fiesta welcome party (DJ + Cheeky Butler + BBQ/tapas), cocktail classes with a professional mixologist, flamenco shows, make-up masterclasses, champagne breakfasts, private chef dinners (BBQ or Mediterranean menu), and standalone DJ sets. Everything is designed for villa settings and requires no venue booking or travel from your group. It's the most flexible and often the most fun option β€” especially on arrival night.
Marbella can be done on a range of budgets. At the smart end (€150–€250 per person per night), you get a private villa, villa party, boat trip, and chef dinners. Luxury experience (€250–€400) adds beach clubs and fine dining. The ultra-luxury bracket (€400–€700+) covers yacht hire, VIP club tables and premium villas. Compared to Ibiza or the South of France, Marbella offers significantly better value for money β€” especially when villa costs are split across a larger group. Flights are cheap, and the euro goes further here than in many other destinations.
Absolutely. Marbella is one of the best destinations for mixed-vibe groups precisely because you have so much variety. A villa acts as a home base where everyone is comfortable. The daytime activities (champagne breakfast, cocktail class, boat trip, make-up party) work for all energy levels. Evenings can split naturally β€” some head to clubs while others have a chill night at the villa. There's no pressure to do everything together, and with a private villa, everyone has their space. Just let us know the mix of personalities and we'll suggest an itinerary that works for all.
The best option for hen groups is a private minibus or Mercedes transfer β€” roughly 45–50 minutes and around €80–€120 for the whole vehicle (very cost-effective per person for a group). Taxis and Uber are available but work out more expensive for larger groups. The bus (line 620 to Marbella) is the budget option but takes longer with luggage, and you'll still need a taxi from Marbella bus station to your villa. We recommend organising the transfer in advance so you step off the plane and straight into the celebration.
